Introduction

Welcome to Nutrition AI (the "App" or "we"). The App lets you take photos of food and get AI-generated nutritional insights. We designed the current version of the App to work without user accounts and without collecting personal health data. This Privacy Policy explains what we do and do not collect, how we use and share information, where it is processed, and how you can contact us.

At-a-glance

• No accounts. We do not create user accounts in the current version.
• No personal health data. We do not ask for or store health data such as name, email, height, weight, or medical conditions.
• What we do process: food photos you choose to upload and a device identifier ("Device ID").
• Third-party AI processing: we send photos to AI service providers to generate results. Today this includes OpenRouter and Google Gemini.
• Limited retention: we keep data only as long as needed for the purpose described below.

What we collect

Because the App is anonymous, the only information we handle is:

You upload

• Food photos: images you submit to receive nutritional analysis.

Generated or technical

• Device ID: a pseudonymous identifier used for abuse prevention, rate limiting, and to operate the service.
• Log data and diagnostics: error logs and performance metrics to keep the App reliable and secure.

We do not collect account details, names, emails, passwords, or personal health data in the current version of the App.

How we use information

• Provide the core service: analyze uploaded photos to generate nutritional insights.
• Safety and reliability: prevent abuse, debug issues, and maintain service quality.
